I graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), where I obtained a degree in marketing. While at UAB, I worked as an intern for the UAB Collat School of Business for an initiative to improve the economic development and comprehensive planning efforts in Wilcox County. As a corporate and personal branding enthusiast, I decided to further my education by pursuing a master’s in strategic design through Furman University and Miami Ad School Atlanta at Portfolio Center. Growing up as a first-generation US citizen, I always saw myself following in the footsteps of my parents, two well-respected Nigerian doctors. As I have gotten older, however, I’ve realized that my true passions lie in the exciting and innovating world of creative marketing. I have become more passionate for developing advertising campaigns throughout my journey in graduate school.
As I write my own story influenced by my heritage, my mission is to firmly establish myself as the liaison between creative and clients. My career objective is to help companies further position themselves for growth in today’s market through brand awareness. With a mindset that reflects positivity, compassion and empathy, I’m pursuing a path that bridges my Nigerian roots with a unique American experience. I believe that my background lends me to have a unique perspective on the advertising industry. This allows me to have an authentic voice when speaking to marginalized people.
